Walking Tours | Samaria Gorge Walking Tour

HIGHLIGHTS:

The most famous walk in Crete, and one we are proud to share. We drive you up to the Omalos plateau, and from there it is a 5 hour, 16 km hike down through the longest gorge in Europe, under rock walls up to 600 metres high, finishing with a swim in the Libyan Sea at Agia Roumeli. Bring good shoes and we take care of the rest.

⏰ A full day (pickup around 07:00, back around 20:00)

👪 Small groups, with pickup and drop off next to your hotel

👶 Children 5 to 12 pay half price, and infants under 4 travel free.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Not included, paid on the day is the Samaria National Park entrance 10 €, the boat from Agia Roumeli to Chora Sfakion 15 €, and meals.

Know before you go

  • This tour is not recommended for people with limited mobility
  • This is a demanding hike; you will need hiking shoes, and to have a good physical stamina
  • The hike duration is about 5-6 hours with necessary stops
  • Please bring cash for the entrance fee to the gorge (€10, free for children under 18 years old), and the ferry ticket (€15 or €8 for children under 12 years old)
