HIGHLIGHTS:

• Hike along the Samaria Gorge trail surrounded by unique landscapes
• Meet the local Cretan goats known as Kri Kri
• Pass through the 350 m high rock walls called the Iron Gates
• Take a refreshing swim in the Libyan Sea at Ayia Roumeli

The most famous walk in Crete, and one we are proud to share. We drive you up to the Omalos plateau, and from there it is a 5 hour, 16 km hike down through the longest gorge in Europe, under rock walls up to 600 metres high, finishing with a swim in the Libyan Sea at Agia Roumeli. Bring good shoes and we take care of the rest.

 A full day (pickup around 07:00, back around 20:00)

 Small groups, with pickup and drop off next to your hotel

 Children 5 to 12 pay half price, and infants under 4 travel free.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Not included, paid on the day is the Samaria National Park entrance 10 €, the boat from Agia Roumeli to Chora Sfakion 15 €, and meals.

Know before you go

• This tour is not recommended for people with limited mobility
• This is a demanding hike; you will need hiking shoes, and to have a good physical stamina
• The hike duration is about 5-6 hours with necessary stops
• Please bring cash for the entrance fee to the gorge (€10, free for children under 18 years old), and the ferry ticket (€15 or €8 for children under 12 years old)
